cv building

What document is more precious or crucial to a new graduate or professional than a CV or resume?

As university courses and graduate positions become more and more competitive, this is increasingly so.

Since 2014, ALBA has expanded its services to specialize in what we call “CV building” – a process that brings out the best features of the client in a professional CV format.

Like any document, CVs arrive on our doorstep in different forms and states. Some require merely to be checked for mistakes, freshened up, and returned error-free, while others demand root-and-branch surgery.

With this in mind, we assess the unique needs of each CV accordingly, and offer a combination of the services listed below:

First things first: a CV must not contain any mistakes or typos, of any kind! We guarantee the removal and correction of these, before focusing on more substantive aspects.

Style isn’t everything, but it is crucial when trying to make a good first impression. We scrutinize a client’s CV in terms of content and style, offering suggestions for ways in which its aesthetics can be improved.

The intended purpose of a CV is significant in the CV-building process. Whether the client wants a generic, multi-purpose CV, or one for a particular position or course, will be kept in mind at all times. This affects which information will be emphasized or deprioritized, the order of what should come first, and the CV’s overall direction and tone.

FAQ

All changes are made and comments added using ‘track changes’ – therefore everything done to the document is clearly visible to the client upon its return.

A typical document (2,000 – 10,000 words) can be returned fully edited/proofread within 2-4 days. Quicker turnarounds are also possible upon request.

As we place a strong emphasis on building trust with clients, payment is made after the job is completed. At that point, clients are issued an e-invoice for secure online payment, or a traditional invoice for bank transfer.
