A quick message from ALBA’s executive director, David McArdle

“The year 2023 marks a significant juncture in ALBA’s expansion, and underlines the company’s global appeal.

Of particular note, ALBA’s website can now be accessed in meticulous simplified and traditional Chinese, courtesy of our new in-house translator.

What’s more, as ALBA enters its 13th year, the timing of this development appears promising: indeed, across much of Asia, the number 13 is deemed ‘lucky’ and represents ‘assured growth.’

Finally, as ALBA’s journey continues, we welcome new customers into our family of long-standing and loyal clients and wish to assure everyone of our continual availability and dedication, and look forward to working with and supporting you in the weeks, months and years ahead.”

Chinese-language website

ALBA’s website is now available in simplified and traditional Chinese, which caters to our prospective clients from all across the Chinese-speaking world.

The thinking behind this move is simple: ALBA endeavours to be as inclusive and accessible to as many potential customers as possible in an increasingly globalised world.

Moreover, if anyone still needs convincing as to the importance of having their work checked over by professional editors/proofreaders, then perhaps Confucius can put forth a compelling case: ‘If you make a mistake and do not correct it, this is called a mistake.’

Instagram

In addition to our geographical expansion, we’ve decided to share some visual insights into the running of ALBA on our new Instagram account – follow us here!

It’s a work in progress, but the aim is to demonstrate the company’s human side – and to give our clients a little insight into ALBA’s working culture and environment.

Bear in mind that the ALBA team is truly global, so expect some snaps from all around the world.

New payment options (WeChat Pay, Alipay): The rise of QR code payments

One of many changes the pandemic has brought about is the prevalence of QR code payment facilities: a quick, convenient concept and a hands-clean alternative to cash-based transactions.

So, to keep up with the trend, ALBA now also accepts Alipay and WeChat Pay, not to mention our usual payment options which include all major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
